It sounds like the May show was another success. Great weather added to the event again. I’m sorry work kept me away for this one.

One thing that was brought to my attention was the large number of vendors at the show. As of May there are 4 official sponsors of the event. Magnum Collision, Butler Tire, VisFire and Buckhead Imports have been generous and helpful with their donations to the event.

A number of businesses and individuals have been hanging out their shingles at the event without asking permission, or offering to sponsor. I’ve been remiss up to this point about dealing with this, but due to the number of spaces these folks are occupying I’ve got to do something.

Starting in June if you are not a sponsor of Caffeine and Octane you will not be allowed to set up a vendor tent, or advertise your products. If you do so you will be asked to leave by Alpharetta PD.

I never envisioned this event as a money making venture. I did it for fun. However I didn’t intend for someone else to make money off of my work either!

Also I need to point out that no one, sponsor or not, can sell anything at the show. That is an agreement we have with the owner of the site. I was informed that someone was selling T-shirts with the C&O logo and website at the last event. The logo is owned by Visfire, our website designer, and the web address is owned by yours truly. Neither Visfire nor myself have given anyone permission to use these items, so please don’t attempt to bring these shirts to the next show.

Sorry for getting all serious, but I’ve been told stories of car shows that were ruined by being “over vendored” and I want to keep our event easy going and laid back.
