Huge February Show Turnout At New Venue

February Car ShowAnybody that had any doubt about the ability of Caffeine and Octane to survive a change of venue (myself included) has had those concerns erased! The turnout for the Feb. event was incredible. The lot holds 725 cars and we filled most of that. I saw a lot of new cars and faces.

A new Lexus LFA drew a lot of attention. Reportedly the owner picked it up just 12 hours before the meet, and it is the FIRST in the US!

Despite the enormous crowd the show was very controlled and well be behaved. Many thanks go out to Officer Phil Baldwin of the Alpharetta PD. Officer Baldwin is a car guy to be sure and has owned quite a stable of nice cars.

The Starbucks did quite a business and I think they now know that we draw a huge crowd. There will be growing pains, but we will get things worked out. Thanks for your patience, and remember that the employees are hourly, tips are appreciated.

Reportedly the folks at Barnes and Noble set up a table with with car magazines and books. Nice to be seen as an asset for a change huh? They certainly have one of the better selections of car mags around.

Some big changes are coming to the site soon. More pics, featured cars and a forum are in the works. Thanks to Visfire for all their work on the site. They are the reason we have this website.

Finally thanks to Magnum collision for their continued support of the event. Their sponsorship allows me to hire officer Baldwin and cover the costs of the site. I never envisioned this gathering to reach these numbers, but it sure has been fun.

See you next month!
